1.When and where does this event take place?

Serve Day will take place on October 18, 2008 and beyond. Check project listing for exact dates, times and locations. Many projects can be done before or after ServeDay so don't let the date keep you away.

2. How long has the church been doing this?

This is our third time we have particpated in ServeDay.

3. How do I sign-up?

In the narthex on Sunday, October 5 and 12 during all worhsip services. You can also contact the project manager directly. Check out the project listing for contact information.

4. Can children participate in ServeDay?

Children and families are encouraged to participate in Serve Day projects. We feel that it is important for children to get involved in volunteer work, and Serve Day is a great way for them to give a little of their time to help those in need. There is something for everybody.

5. Do participants get t-shirts?

No. Wear any CUMC t-shirt you own or other comfortable attire.

6. Will this be fun?

YES! 2 Corinthians 9:8 says ?In all things, at all times, having all you need, you will abound in every good work?. You will definitely find that you will abound in fun and joy during your service.

7. Will there be lunch?

No. There will be a light breakfast from 8:30 a.m. - 9:30 a.m in the CUMC parking near the CLC.

8. Can I serve on multiple projects?

Absolutely... Check the details for each project and plan accordingly.

9. Are non-church members welcome?

All are welcome! Not only is this a time to help those in need, it is also an opportunity for fellowship. Please pass along this information to anyone who may be interested. Don't forget to ask your neighbors for donations. Check out the project listings for more details.

10. Will child care be available?

Yes, childcare will be provided for the event. It is necessary that you sign-up for childcare when you register for your project.
